Sheridan teen charged with raping his mother:shock: :shock: :shock: :shock: :shock: Wednesday November 22, 2006 SHERIDAN, Wyo. (AP) A Sheridan teenager is charged with raping his mother at a motel here. Circuit Judge John Sampson set bail at $25,000 for the 15-year-old boy on Tuesday. Matthew Redle, Sheridan County prosecuting attorney, said he couldn't comment Wednesday on whether the boy had made any statement to investigators. Redle declined to discuss the relation between the woman and the accused. Heavily censored court documents provided to The Associated Press redacted the names of both the woman and the suspect. The woman told The Sheridan Press, however, that she is the boy's mother. Redle said the boy will not enter a plea until he appears in court for a preliminary hearing. No date for that hearing has been set. Redle said the boy has asked the court to appoint an attorney for him. He said no attorney has yet been assigned to represent the boy. The woman told authorities that she was assaulted at a local motel on Nov. 15. The woman told investigators that she was awakened by someone holding her down and punching her arms and back. She first told an investigator that she didn't know who had assaulted her. The Sheridan Press reported the woman later told investigators that her son was her assailant.
