Another email for schools -Must have these hand held devices
We encourage you to contact your local schools asking them what they are doing to better protect our children. Several schools in Florida and around the country are using the hand held scanner device. We need to encourage all schools across the country to use these devices. A few days ago, a man visiting a school with his girlfriend was arrested for not registering as a sex offender when he moved to Florida. Below you will find a letter that I have been sending that can be sent to your school boards if you like. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Dear______ It has recently come to our attention that there is a handheld scanner device called Raptor Identification System that scans a drivers license and immediately accesses a data base of known sex offenders. This device also brings up any restraining order, warrants etc on the individual. This will immediately alarm the law enforcment as well as the school if there is a match. This has also proven to catch unregistered Sex Offenders from other states who visited the schools, leading to an immediate arrest. We strongly encourage you to look into this program and start using it at all schools as soon as possible. This is another measure that can ensure the safety of our children and to keep sex offenders off the school grounds. Thanks and yep, let's get them out!! I am going to resend since I had to update that letter. It works and its cheaper and more effective I think than the finger printing plans they want to use in schools.
