The Globe Police Department is releasing the following information pursuant to A.R.S �� 13-3825, the Community Notification on Sex Offenders Law. The offender in this publication reasonably appears to be living in the City of Globe. It is the statutory responsibility of the Chief Law Enforcement Officer having jurisdiction where the offender resides to make notification to the community. Notification must be made when certain sex offenders are released from the Arizona Department of Corrections, released from the county jail, or enters under an interstate compact.
The individual who appears on this notification has been convicted of a sex crime which mandates community notification. He is not wanted by the Globe Police Department at this time.
This notice is not intended to increase fear. Citizens abuse of this information to threaten or harass sex offenders will not be tolerated. Trained Globe Police Officers are available to help you join or start a neighborhood watch program as well as provide you with useful information on personal safety. If you have any information regarding current criminal activity on this, or any other offender, please call the Globe Police Department at 928-425-5751.
Arthur Guerra, 48, is a registered sex offender living in Globe at 379 E. Cottonwood Globe, AZ 85501. He weighs 175 lbs., has brown hair and brown eyes.
In December of 1989, this 29 year old male offender had sexual intercourse with a 16 year old female acquaintance. Their sexual relationship continued for the next three months.
The victim gave birth to the offender's child. The victim contacted police in July 1990 after the offender had been bothering her for months. On Sept. 6, 2002, the offender was convicted of failure to register as a sex offender.
