Thank you First Amendment for this information: Important Safety Message Body The following message was sent as a Connect Ed call from Principal Glenn Wood to all Andrew families on Thursday, October 2, 2008. Good afternoon. This is Glenn Wood, Principal of Andrew High School calling with important information. We are working with the Tinley Park Police Department regarding a situation that happened before school this morning. An Andrew student reports that while walking to school she was approached by a man in a van who asked her to come toward the vehicle. She immediately called 911, continued to school and reported the incident to the dean’s office. The police searched the area, but could not locate the man. He is described as: • White male approximately 40 years of age • Short, spiked, light brown hair • Driving a Red/Maroon cargo style van At the end of the school day, I will make a PA announcement to remind students to remain aware of their surroundings and to report anything suspicious to the police department and the dean’s office. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call Tinley Park Police at (708) 444-5368. Again, this is Principal Wood calling with important information about a student who reports that she was approached by a man in a van as she walked to school this morning. We will continue to work with the Tinley Park Police Department regarding this situation.
