BREAKING NEWS: Body Found in Grand Haven July 14, 2008 OTTAWA COUNTY — A person walking the beach in Grand Haven Sunday evening noticed what appeared to be human remains on the shoreline. The individual then called authorities, and upon further investigation, they located a body that is described to have been in the water for "quite some time." Body floats ashore in Grand Haven Township Posted: July 14, 2008 04:59 AM EDT Updated: July 14, 2008 04:27 PM EDT GRAND HAVEN TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) -- A body that washed up on a Lake Michigan beach this weekend was probably in the water for more than two years, and is so badly decomposed the medical examiner can't determine the gender. The person, though, is believed to be between 20-40 years old. A beachwalker noticed the remains of the body at 6:30 p.m. Sunday on the shoreline in Grand Haven Township. The body was taken to a Grand Rapids hospital, where investigators say an autopsy will be performed Monday.
