13 MONTHS OF HELL
BRANDY HAS BEEN MISSING 13 MONTHS TODAY. I FEEL I AM IN A NIGHTMARE THAT WILL NOT END. CAN YOU IMAGINE NOT SEEING YOUR CHILD ,MOTHER, FATHER,SISTER, BROTHER, FRIEND FOR 13 MONTHS . HOW WOULD YOU FEEL? SOME PEOPLE ASK ME HOW DO YOU GO ON AND OTHERS WANT TO KNOW WHAT IS WRONG? WHAT IS WRONG PEOPLE A CHILD I GAVE BIRTH TO IS MISSING. I CAN`T MOVE FORWARD OR BACKWARD I AM STUCK IN THE LAST DAY I SAW HER. I WOULD GIVE ANYTHING TO HEAR HER SAY I LOVE YOU MOM SEE YOU LATER ONE MORE TIME. OR JUST LOOK AT ME WITH THOSE BEAUTIFUL BLUE EYES.
WE HAD A RALLY FOR BRANDY 6/16/2006 NOT ONE CITY OFFICIAL SHOWED UP NOT EVEN THE DETECTIVE WHO IS SUPPOSE TO BE WORKING THIS CASE. BUT I AM SUPPOSE TO TRUST THAT THEY ARE DOING EVERYTHING THEY CAN TO FIND HER. I SPOKE WITH HIM THE DAY BEFORE THE RALLY TOLD HIM THE TIME AND WHERE IT WAS HE TOLD ME HE WOULD SEE ME THERE.
PEOPLE TELL ME I DON`T ACT LIKE MYSELF CAN YOU TELL ME HOW I AM SUPPOSE TO ACT ? IT TAKES ALL I HAVE JUST TO KEEP GOING EVERYDAY, SO YOU SEE ME ONCE IN A WHILE I ACT DIFFERENT YOU WALK IN MY SHOES AND SEE HOW YOU CAN HANDLE IT.
ONLY A PERSON WHO IS GOING THRU THIS ON A DAY TO DAY BASIS LIVING THRU THIS NIGHTMARE DAILY CAN TRULY KNOW HOW IT FEELS DON`T EVEN TRY TO IMAGINE YOU CAN`T EVEN COME CLOSE.
I KNOW MOST PEOPLE MEAN WELL AND I TAKE IT THAT WAY TODAY HAS JUST BEEN A BAD DAY. AND I KNOW TOMORROW IT WILL START ALL OVER AGAIN .THE WHAT IFS , WHY DIDN`T I ,IF ONLY . SO TO THOSE WHO KNOW ME PERSONALLY GIVE ME A BREAK SO SOMETIMES I`M NOT MYSELF OR YOU THINK I`M BEING RUDE DEAL WITH IT. I`M HAVING A HARD ENOUGH TIME GETTING THRU THE DAY .

Donna, I am very happy that the billboards are finally up. And Im sure you were grateful for every person that did show up for the Rally. I know I would have been there if I lived closer. No, I cant imagine how you're feeling. You're right in saying that only someone who has a child missing or has lost one could understand. I lost 4 babies I was carrying over the years but I never got to know & love them the way I do my surviving 4 children. I am very sorry that someone has apparently upset you so much. No, they cant imagine, they arent in your shoes. Its somewhat the same, but I know not exactly the same, as a person telling me how I was supposed to react when I lost those babies. As if I didnt have right to grieve. I think sometimes people spout platitudes because they honestly dont know what to say. And I think that, most of them anyway, dont mean any real harm. Stay strong. I know its been a long and horrific year. I cant imagine your pain but I can certainly hold you in my heart. You have friends here for you. You can yell, scream, curse or cry. We'll still be here for you. You sound as if you are a very strong lady. Stay strong. She'll be home. We have to have faith in that.

No matter how you lose a child it is a nightmare, I too lost a child before it was born so the feelings are a lot similar only I no where that child is. Thank you for always being here for me. Hope Themis has a great Vacation. You are a wonderful group. Hope you like the pics.

I have contacted all my Senators ,the Govenor, The FBI, The state Attorney General`s office. I called the Charleston County Sheriff`s Office today I am going to ask them to take over this case. I talk to County officers all the time in the Restaurant about Brandy and I have been scared to make the move to County just the fear of starting all over.After the Rally I realize starting over is better than just doing nothing as North Charleston has been doing for Months. Charleston County will work the case, but I have always been told I`m the one who has to make the first move and I did that today. Nobody wants to step on anybodies toes so to speak. All I want is answers to Where is Brandy? As her Mother I`m not worried anymore about their feelings they sure haven`t worried about mine or Brandy`s. I`m sure there will be some hurdles to cross, but the one thing I know where my children are concerned, I will take on anybody. I do not know how this Detective can still feel he has done his job. He has lied to me time after time ,there will be no more.
How can you let a person be missing 13 months with no word to anyone and not take this serious? How can a man that took an oath to serve and protect just ignore this . Can anyone answer this ?

My daughter has been missing since May 20,2005. Over the past weekend I started another round of Emails to my Government officials. As most of you can tell by now I am not a quitter I will fight for what I believe in til my dying day. I will never give up on Brandy .
I sent this letter to all of my state officials :
Sir my daughter has been missing since May 20,2005. My local Law Enforcement do not seem to think this is a serious problem. My daughter is now 33 years old when I filed my missing person report at first the City of North Charleston refused to take this report. No investigation was even started until Brandy had been missing a week. My daughter disappeared leaving everything behind all her clothes,money, household items,makeup everything she owned and held dear. The Detective had me sign a waiver and give him the key to my daughters apartment which I did no questions ask.He did a walk through of Brandy`s apartment said that was all he felt he needed to do.There was no dusting for prints, he did not even find her money in the apartment. I had to pack my daughters apartment at the end of May or everything was gonna be put in the street. I found the money she had made the last day she worked she was saving for rent I had just cashed her paycheck I know how much she had.
I do not understand how people who take an oath and put that Badge on and swear to Serve and Protect can just turn your backs and not do anything. I have the right as a tax paying citizen to ask for your help and expect to get it.
Can you tell me why my daughter is not important what if it were your daughter, sister, mother, wife, friend what would you do. Can you tell me how to make the police take this issue serious? It has been 13 months how long must I beg for help. What do I have to do to get someone to take a serious look at this case?
We are a very close family we worked at the same Restaurant I would have known if she was making plans to leave Please tell me her mother what to do to end this nightmare. Why do Law Enforcement not care? Please help me ,
Well so far I have received an email from Lt Govenor Andre Baur`s office giving me a list of email addresses . The Govenor`s of course was the first and the rest were for all media outlets. I was told to get the Media involved and that would help me a lot.
The Govenor`s office called me and told me the same thing she told me when she called about a year ago that she was sorry but they have no jurisdiction over the Local authorities.
I emailed the letter to all South Carolina media and Radio stations. So far I`ve heard from 2 .
I don`t understand how these people can look themselves in the eye and feel no guilt what is wrong with people .
Where did the caring and compassion for our fellow man go? How can people sit there and do nothing.
I have worked since I was 16 years old, paid taxes tried to do the right thing, made a few unwise decisions but I paid the price for them . I still work every day, No I don`t have a lot of money but the one thing I`ve treasured most and always had is the relationship with my children. Why must we have lots of money or no someone or be connected to someone for people to pay us attention? I am just a working woman who has raised 3 kids whom I am very proud of.
Now I am told we can`t do anything to help you, try this person, or try this . Well I have tried it all and will continue to do so . I do not understand this world we live in, it is very cold and uncaring. I do not no what my next step is at the moment but there will be one I may be down but don`t ever count me out.
