Here is what I sent: Letter from Donna Parent, Mother of Brandy Hanna My little girl My daughter has been missing since May 20,2005. Over the past weekend I started another round of Emails to my Government officials. As most of you can tell by now I am not a quitter I will fight for what I believe in til my dying day. I will never give up on Brandy . I sent this letter to all of my state officials : Sir/Madam My daughter has been missing since May 20,2005. My local Law Enforcement do not seem to think this is a serious problem. My daughter is now 33 years old when I filed my missing person report at first the City of North Charleston refused to take this report. No investigation was even started until Brandy had been missing a week. My daughter disappeared leaving everything behind all her clothes,money, household items,makeup everything she owned and held dear. The Detective had me sign a waiver and give him the key to my daughters apartment which I did no questions ask.He did a walk through of Brandy`s apartment said that was all he felt he needed to do.There was no dusting for prints, he did not even find her money in the apartment. I had to pack my daughters apartment at the end of May or everything was gonna be put in the street. I found the money she had made the last day she worked she was saving for rent I had just cashed her paycheck I know how much she had. I do not understand how people who take an oath and put that Badge on and swear to Serve and Protect can just turn your backs and not do anything. I have the right as a tax paying citizen to ask for your help and expect to get it. Can you tell me why my daughter is not important what if it were your daughter, sister, mother, wife, friend what would you do. Can you tell me how to make the police take this issue serious? It has been 13 months how long must I beg for help. What do I have to do to get someone to take a serious look at this case? We are a very close family we worked at the same Restaurant I would have known if she was making plans to leave Please tell me her mother what to do to end this nightmare. Why do Law Enforcement not care? Please help me , Well so far I have received an email from Lt Govenor Andre Baur`s office giving me a list of email addresses . The Govenor`s of course was the first and the rest were for all media outlets. I was told to get the Media involved and that would help me a lot. The Govenor`s office called me and told me the same thing she told me when she called about a year ago that she was sorry but they have no jurisdiction over the Local authorities. I emailed the letter to all South Carolina media and Radio stations. So far I`ve heard from 2 . I don`t understand how these people can look themselves in the eye and feel no guilt what is wrong with people . Where did the caring and compassion for our fellow man go? How can people sit there and do nothing. I have worked since I was 16 years old, paid taxes tried to do the right thing, made a few unwise decisions but I paid the price for them . I still work every day, No I don`t have a lot of money but the one thing I`ve treasured most and always had is the relationship with my children. Why must we have lots of money or no someone or be connected to someone for people to pay us attention? I am just a working woman who has raised 3 kids whom I am very proud of. Now I am told we can`t do anything to help you, try this person, or try this . Well I have tried it all and will continue to do so . I do not understand this world we live in, it is very cold and uncaring. I do not know what my next step is at the moment but there will be one I may be down but don`t ever count me out. As I was cleaning house today I came across the postcard I received from America`s Most Wanted. I had sent all the info the site ask for in July of 2005 and this was their 2nd response card dated Sept.05/ 05. Thank you for writing to America`s Most Wanted.We want to let you know we didn`t forget about you . Your letter deserves our personal attention but it may take a little time because we receive so many letters each day. Your patience is appreciated,and we look forward to being in touch with you soon. Can someone tell me how long is a little time and when is soon? Its been a little over 10 months since I`ve heard from America`s Most Wanted how long am I suppose to be patient, my patience is wearing thin. My sister Yvonne wrote this note when she signed Brandy`s Petition. America`s Most Wanted . You are bigger than Life.You are a name well known. When you are around things tend to happen . Its not only the high profile cases that need help. Please Mr. Walsh remember where you came from and what happened, you have to have resolution of some sort. Wow Donna, Fingers crossed girl. I wish with all my heart we could do more. Please let us know if we can. I didn't recieve a single response back on the emails I sent out the other day. Lately I have been very disenchanted with all of this. I hope and pray John comes through for you. I might, just might have a way to contact him directly. I contacted SLED and the FBI when Brandy first went Missing. They could not get involved because I could not prove a Federal crime had been commited. I did receive some good news today another Detective has been added to the case. Detective Tammy Decenzo has been with North Charleston for a long time. Detective Tammy Decenzo is also a personal friend. Tammy has followed my daughter`s case since this all started. When Tammy walked in the restaurant this morning I knew it was on official business. We sat and talked and she told me she had finally been moved upstairs to the Detectives office. Tammy is taking a new approach to this case she has reviewed Brandy`s case file. She came to me this morning and ask me what questions I had that had not been answered or what did I feel they should do that had not been done. When I was ask this I had to fight to keep from crying, someone finally wanted to listen to me and hear what I felt needed to be done. Tammy can not make any promises or gurantees, but I know in my heart she will do her best and she is willing to listen and check out a lot of things that were never done. This gives me a renewed since of hope, I may at least find out what happened to Brandy that night. I would love to be able to find her only time will tell. At least doing it this way I will not have all these unanswered questions. And if its in Gods plan I can give Brandy a proper Burial and know where she is .

there is still no news on Brandy Hanna its like she never existed but I know she did I don`t know what to do next. I received word from several Senators and the Govenors office telling me the same thing they told me a year ago There`s nothing they can do and there really sorry I`m going thru this.
