Your theme could be :"The Search for Brandy Continues." Have everyone meet at Alex's on a Saturday and start from there. Use a map of the area and assign sections to different groups. Pass out posters as they go. Post it here and on Brandy's site, ask for volunteers. Have the sunday school make a banner to hang up at Alex's where everyone meets. Call the media a week before and get them to promise to be there and list who said yes on site,so they can't back out. Put Posters on cars, vans asking for help with the search. Ask Boys and Girls club,Boy/Girl Scouts to help pass out posters. Ask local groups to host a bake sale with Brandy's Name and posters. Or if they already have one planned ask them to use her poster at the sale sites.

Several weeks ago I went back thru all of Brandy`s things and took out of cardboard boxes and put into nice containers that would protect it from the weather and outside elements better. All of her belongings are packed up tight in Gary`s workshop sealed tight. I did this partly because my sister had did most of the packing that fateful day we had to move her belongings. So I did not know for sure exactly what was back there. So several weeks ago I repacked everything and checked for anything I might have missed I found all her Jewelry which I did not realize we had packed. I was hoping to find anything that might give me a clue to this puzzle but I did not .

Donna, heres another suggestion if you like. Go to every church in the area, or call if its easier. Every church I know of has a prayer list. Ask that Brandy be put on the prayer list, saying that she is missing and how long its been. People will hear her name and you may get more help and defiantely more exposure if more people hear it more often. Ask if the churches can keep her on the list and have her name read out (some do it during the service, some print it in the church bulliten), until she is found, wether its every week or once or twice a month. I dont see too many churches turning you down so give it a shot!!

Brandy Hanna missing 16 Months on the 20th
 The new Detective who is assisting Detective Jourdan has tried to contact America`s Most Wanted, she has received no response either. We did get a call from Maury Povich show I did a pre interview and was ask why my daughter was different than the rest of the missing persons, now in all honesty how am I suppose to answer this, they are all equally important. Well I answered all their questions and was told the producers would call me back in about 10 minutes was even told she was making a poster about Brandy at that moment. Well I`m still waiting 3 weeks later why do people lie to us and lead us on. Does America realize how bad this situation is becoming. Adults are missing more and more and most of the time its not their choice. Meanwhile we the Family are left with this hollow feeling in our lives and no matter how hard we try there is No one to come to our Rescue There are no counseling teams, no groups to join . So we go it alone and we keep fighting, hoping and praying for the day our child is found so this nightmare will end or will it ever end. I have never had such a helpless feeling I can normally handle anything thrown at me but this is really beating me down this is a fight I`m afraid I`m not going to win.

Brandy hanna
I have still had no word from AMW or the Maury show. I have not heard from the new detective for quite a while now and I know she is taking quite a bit of time off soon for her wedding. So I guess I am just back to nothing being done I had such high hopes and I know better. God is truly the only one you can count on everyone else will let you down. Yes I`m feeling sorry for myself I miss my daughter and I am tired of the empty promises. Brandy`s 34th Birthday is November 16th which will be here before we know it. I am at a loss for what to do I do not trust people anymore especially LE. I blame them for ruining this investigation or lack of investigation I should say since there never was one to begin with. I watch court Tv and I see all the things that can be done to help solve a missing person case. But is this real or just for tV. There are so many people coming up missing and never to be found some found years later dead near where they were missing from . How can this be what happened to good Law Enforcement?

Gaia- 10-01-2006

Donna, I think its time we bombard SC Law Enforcement again......Each of us, in our own words, need to call, write or email every official we can think of in SC and let them know that Brandy has been put on the back burner yet again and we wont stand for it. Now I say , "in our own words" because we have written mass emails before only to be brushed off as SPAM.........I am going to get addresses and emails of everone I can think of to write to and post it after this post. We wont let them forget her Donna, if we have to call or write every day, they will hear us. I know you've heard this many times before but keep the faith and know we are here for you as always. :hugs2: :hugs2: :hugs2:

Gaia- 10-01-2006

Ok this is what I got from past posts and Google. If there is anyone you can think of, add it!! Write or email these people and let then know that you will not let Brandy be forgotten!! I emailed all the people on the list. and will do it every week if needed. Just a thought here how about looking at some playing cards with her face on they could hand out in jail. our jails are filled to the max right now and maybe one of the thugs in might have a heart if they knew something.

Magic407- 10-04-2006

I think the playing cards are a great idea! Another family of a missing girl (Jennifer Kesse, FL) recently did that. It makes a lot of sense because of the fact that prisoners don't have access to the media as readily as we do. Many of them may not even know about the case. One of them just may know something, ya never know!

Happy Birthday Brandy Hanna
Year and a half later, question stands Candlelight vigil to ask again, where is Brandy? BY BRIAN HICKS The Post and Courier She put it off for more than a year, but Donna Parent knew she had to do it. She had to go through her daughter's belongings one more time. When Brandy Hanna vanished in May 2005, Parent and a friend hastily stored her things. So much going on. Not enough time to think about it. Plus, she couldn't bring herself to do it, she couldn't bear to look at it. But a few months ago, she could no longer bear not to. She rummaged through all she had left of her first-born and there it was: a tiny ring, something she thought was long gone. Parent slipped the ring on her finger that afternoon, and it's not been off since. Right now, it's all she's got left to hold onto. Today is Brandy's 34th birthday, and in a few days she will have been missing a year and a half. "Her friends told me she had pawned it," Parent said of the ring. "But there it was, tucked into a wallet." On Saturday, Brandy's friends and family will hold a candlelight birthday vigil for her at the Alex's Restaurant, where she worked with her mother until the day she vanished. Donna Parent's life has changed immeasurably since May 20, 2005. It has become a blur of false leads and false hopes, missing persons' networks and calls from The Maury Povich show. Police haven't had a solid lead in months, and one of the people Parent thought might know something about her daughter's disappearance has died. She has been pushing state, local and federal officials to intervene, urging police to do more, but she is getting nowhere. She is learning the hard truth that missing adults are not high on anyone's priority list, save for their families. "I think she's holding up, but she doesn't have a choice," says Carol Billips, owner of Alex's Restaurant, and Parent's longtime employer and friend. "I know some days are very rough for her." Since she disappeared, Billips has devoted her restaurant's reader board to the simple message: "Where is Brandy?" And it will stay there, Billips says, until there is an answer. Inside the restaurant, a shrine of missing posters and newspaper stories and where waitresses wear buttons with Brandy's face on their aprons, conversation often turns to the missing waitress. Billips says the idea is to keep people talking about it, refuse to allow them to forget, because the answer is out there somewhere. "I do feel like one day there will be an answer, and I feel it's here in North Charleston," Billips says. "Even if it's not a good result, she needs to know." Even if Parent wanted to forget for a just a moment, she could not. Brandy is everywhere - her photo is on the back of Parent's truck, her face is plastered all over Alex's. Parent even has Brandy's named etched in her arm. Occasionally an errant customer, somebody passing through, will say they've seen Brandy before, maybe in Louisiana, but Parent has quit listening. She can't stand to. There have been a few bright spots, moments of kindness that have given her faith. A woman from Ohio read about Brandy on the Internet and sent a new laptop computer to be raffled off, the funds going into a reward account that now stands, collecting dust and interest, at about $6,400. Parent throws herself into her work - "It keeps your mind busy," she says - but she spends most of her time plotting her next move. She writes letters to the governor's office, to congressmen, state lawmakers. She tries to prod the police into action, although investigators say they have exhausted every avenue available. They need a lead. But Parent cannot sit back and wait, allow this cold case to be forgotten. There's "not a minute, hardly," that she doesn't think about her daughter, wonder what happened. She concedes that she may never know the answer, but it will not keep her from looking. "I question it, but I have to know," she says. "I won't stop." Missing woman Brandy Hanna disappeared from her North Charleston apartment May 20, 2005. She had worked at Alex's Restaurant on Dorchester Road all day, caught a ride home and made plans to go shopping with a friend that evening. She talked with her mother by phone early that evening, and no one has seen her since. Police have turned up no leads in months, and her mother is pushing state, local and federal officials to do more to help find her daughter. A vigil for Brandy will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday at Alex's Restaurant on Dorchester Road. Reach Brian Hicks at 937-5561 or bhicks@postandcourier.com.
