So please copy and send out this email.Feel free to change it in any way you wish. Also send it to everyone in your address books. Brandy needs all our help. Honorable Mayor R. Keith Summey, Chief of Police Jon R. Zumalt and Captain of Investigations Sam Tillman, I am writing you today about Brandy Hanna. On February 3rd Donna Parent, Brandy’s Mother, met with all three of you to discuss the investigation into Brandy’s disappearance. During that meeting promises were made to bring Brandy’s case to the forefront by contacting your media person and arranging a Billboard with Brandy’s information. It was also promised to keep Donna better informed as to how things were progressing. So far none of these things have happened. It is honorable that you each admitted mistakes that were made in the case but by doing nothing to repair the damage is just plain inexcusable. I visited the South Carolina Gov website and read what you Mayor Summey and Chief Zumalt had to say about your responsibilities to the public. Zumalt “ All of these are fine points but when it comes to this case, this family, you have gone against your own words. Mayor Summey it is obvious you are a family oriented man. You have 2 children of your own. What if they were grown and vanished? Would their case be treated as Brandy’s has? No. You would do everything in your power to find them. So why isn’t Donna getting the same consideration. Brandy’s past is just that the past. She has worked long and hard to get her life together and now that she has it was snatched right out from under her. She deserves to be treated better and not just another incident number on a sheet or paper. So I implore all three of you to not only keep your promise but to do it now. Precious time has been wasted that could have been used to find leads or Brandy herself. We need more media involvement, organized searches and that billboard. Thank you for your time. RESOLUTION Sorry about the delay in a response to Ms. Parent but here is an update. Yesterday we recieved the proof copy from the billboard company, final changes will be made by early next week. Doug MacFarland, with Mac Advertising has graciously agreed to donate the cost of the billboard in an effort to help find Brandy. We do not yet know where the location of the billboard will be. They will advertise in the entire area and move the banner around the City. Lt. David Bollinger has the case and will give Ms. Parent a call next week. She may always call him directly at Removed. I would like to thank everyone for their help with all the emails to our Mayor etc. Lieut.Bollinger called me Friday 3/10/06 although he was not to happy with some of the emails we got our point across. If they had just kept me informed about what they were doing, we would not have to go thru any of this. I still do not know what is going to be on the billboard or when & where it will be put up but as long as it has Brandy`s face I will be happy. Lieut.Bollinger told me he would get Brandy`s file and go over it to see if he can come up with some other options also. We`ll see he feels they did everything they could when Brandy first went missing there we disagree totally . He thinks its normal to tell a parent their adut daughter is out doing drugs just because she is an adult and missing .

2006 conference
Gary and I will be heading to Wilmington,N.C. next weekend for the 2006 conference put on by CUE. Will anyone else be there? Was hoping if any of you were going I would get to meet you in person. Monica says it will be a great learning experience.

I wish we could. Gaia is in Pennsylvania and i'm in Texas. We do have members in SC, maybe they will be attending.

I wish you could attend also I would love to meet you . Kelly from Project Jason will be there I can`t wait to meet her . You Ladies have been such a help to me emotionally and spiritually . I hope you know how much that means to me. Thank you all so much for your continued support .It has now been 10 months since Brandy`s disappearance 10 months of a living nightmare with no end in sight.

Conference
I`m just going one day at a time. The Conference was wonderful CUE has an outstanding group of people and they spoiled us all weekend. There was some great people there but it was so sad to know that no matter where you live if your over 18 LE don`t care where you are, it`s not their problem.I just heard they found Jeffery Ben`s remains my heart breaks for his family. When you have a missing person and you hear something like this you feel the family`s pain more than you normally would. I have not heard one word form North Charleston`s Finest . The proof must have got lost in the mail lol. I did get to meet Kelly from Project Jason very nice Lady, and I met Jill from Garden of Hope and missing Carrie Culberson. The Vigil was very meaningful but sad. It really hurt to see Brandy`s face on that wall.

I bet it was.Speaking for a large number of our members our significant others don't know how we do this. Dealing with the lose on a daily basis. But they respect us for trying so hard. Each time someone is found deceased we all feel it like they are our family. Each name on the forum one of us typed in,not copy and paste. This way we are more connected to them and not just their name or case number,but the person. Our work here can be heartbreaking but we keep going for the ones we may help find.And in memory of those we lost.But we need to focus on the positive that this site does. Now Donna what do you need us to do next :twisted:

Crimestoppers has run her story they ran it right after her Birthday.I did not no I could get the information they have but now I do. There`s my next step Thank you!!! I do try to think positive and stay upbeat because this is tough and hard on the spirit but I won`t quit or give in to the depression Brandy needs me to keep fighting for her I won`t let her down

And we'll keep you up beat. Just read lions's den LOL. Now with the Freedom of Information Act I believe I saw a download for the form. I'll see if I can find it again for ya. And I have the list of all SC Media that you can send the Editorial too. We'll get the fire burning again.
