Can Sex Offenders Be Cured?

NO NO NO NO NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!A person who willingly commits a sex act on a child, particulary those who repeat it over and over again, know exactly, in my opinion, what they are doing. "Its a sickness" "I cant help myself" .......to me all that is BULL!! And I am not just stating this as an administrator and a parent. I am stating this as a former victim of rape. I was raped and sodomized when I was 6 years old by a family member who molested other family members and actually served jail time in VA. for it. He knew exactly what he was doing because he 'knew' enough to threaten his victims with harm if they told. A sex offender is not suffering from cancer or alcoholism. He or she is a sick predatory piece of trash who uses sex and mind games to control his victims. There is NO cure other than death to me. A S.O. can claim insanity, because after all, who in thier RIGHT mind would do such horrific things. If thats the case, I think they should be locked up in maximum security psychiatric facilities until they ROT!! The ability and willingness to rape a child is NOT a disease. Diseases are something that invade the human body or mind changing thier physical function without the body's prior knowledge. A sex offender knows exactly what he's doing and relishes in the destruction he causes. The ONLY cure is death.
