Coach accused of misconduct resigns
Coach Kent Whitman resigned
his coaching position Thursday
after an investigation started
Tuesday in his conduct with
a 15 year-old girl.
He worked at Genoa High School
as the Cross Country Coach.
He is barred from attending any
school activities or contact with
students. He also teaches at Oak
Harbor Middle School, but it is unclear
if he is on administration leave
pending this investigation, as
Brenton-Caroll-Salem Superintendent
could not be reached for comment.
Police Chief Shultze is helping
Job and Family Services with the
investigation.
