Coast Guard Rescues Woman Stuck in Mud/GaCoast Guard Rescues Woman Stuck in Mud
A Liberty County woman had to be rescued by the US Coast Guard after she got stuck up to her neck in mud. Kimberly Rozier, 36, was bogged down with only her head showing in Jones Creek Friday night.
Liberty County firefighters were called to the scene about 11:30, but they say Rozier refused their help and swam father out into the creek. That's when they called in the Coast Guard.
Rozier apparently drove her vehicle into the creek then climbed out and tried to swim. The tide went out and she was left stuck chest deep in the mud.
She was pulled to safety by a Coast Guard helicopter crew.
Rozier was arrested Saturday on charges of disorderly conduct and obstruction. She was taken to the Liberty County jail.
