Copycats arrested in package scares Columbus, Ohio
AP- After watching news reports of a rash of
suspicious package scares around Columbus
Thursday, two people decided to leave their
own, gift wrapped box out side of an Ohio
Educational Building down town, creating one
more case for bomb squads officers.
Andrew Luhrig,19, of Columbus, and Domonick
Dunn, 16, of Tiffin, Ohio, were arrested Friday
and charged with inducing panic. Detectives were
working on other charge's against the two.
The relationship to each other is unclear according
to Amanda Ford, a police spokes woman.
Survelliance video lead to the two suspects that
were outside of the buildings where the packages
were left.
The call about a box wrapped in pink paper with a
blue bow came into officials Thursday night after a
series of calls that began earlier in the day around
4:30 p.m.
The box after being detonated revealed to be empty
and of no threat.
