Deny Parole to Earl Hilton Perry- Kid/ Abuse of Ashley
Earl Hilton Perry III will be interviewed by the parole board on December 3rd at 8:30 a.m. at the Regional Jail Authority in Charleston. If the parole board approves it, he will be released from Mount Olive on December 8th. Hilton will have been incarcerated for ONLY ONE YEAR for kidnapping, brutally attacking, beating, kicking, biting and choking Ashley Shaffer. Please stand with West Virginians Against Abuse on this issue! Tell the Parole Board that the Citizens of West Virginia believe that one year of prison is not an acceptable punishment for the crimes committed again Ashley! Tell the Parole Board that Hilton Perry should spend the maximum time behind bars that his sentence will allow! ASHLEY'S STORY In December 2004, 19-year-old Ashley was kidnapped and brutalized by Hilton Perry after trying to break off a relationship with him. Hilton had a gun with him and threatened to kill Ashley if she tried to escape; he then brutalized her in his truck for hours, choking her, biting her, and beating her face, arms, back, legs, and head. When his hands were "tired" from beating her, he bashed her head repeatedly against his truck window. He pulled her hair out in large clumps and then pushed her out of the truck and kicked her until she agreed to clean the clumps of hair from his truck. Unable to stand, she was lifted up by her hair and forced face down into the truck, his foot against the back of her head, until she cleaned his truck. Hilton was originally charged with a crime that carried a life sentence. Unfortunately, because he was permitted to plea bargain, he was sentenced to only 1 to 5 years. http://www.wvagainstabuse.org/
