Officials Believe Dog Accidentally Started House Fire POSTED: 10:43 am EDT October 8, 2006 UPDATED: 10:45 am EDT October 8, 2006 SALEM, N.H. -- A dog trying to get a box of doughnuts is being blamed for starting a New Hampshire house fire. Fire officials believe the black lab was home alone and trying to grab the box from atop a toaster oven, and accidentally turned on the toaster.
