Donald Holmes, the man police say shot his wife in front of an Okemos credit union, is now in police custody. He will be arraigned at 1:30 p.m. today at the 55th District Court in Mason, before Judge Rosemarie Aquilina.
Holmes turned himself in to the Ingham County Sheriff's Department at 5 a.m. today.
Meridian Township police officials said Holmes' surrender was without incident.
Catherine Holmes, 62, was found dead at about 10 a.m. Friday in her car in the parking lot of the Michigan State University Federal Credit Union on Central Park Drive, Meridian Township police said.
Customers called police after they heard an argument followed by loud noises, Sgt. Greg Frenger said.
"They were not aware it was shots at the time, but it drew their attention," he said.
Donald Holmes, 64, was seen leaving the parking lot in his car. Police found his wife dead in her car when they arrived.
