A silver alert has been issued for a missing endangered man from Goldsboro. Officials are looking for Fred Simmons, who is believed to be suffering from dementia or some other cognitive impairment.
Simmons is a 67-year-old black man with short black hair and brown eyes. No picture of him is available right now. Officials say Simmons was last seen wearing a gray, long sleeve shirt, blue jeans, white tennis shoes and a blue headband.
Officials say Simmons was last seen at 100 S. Berkeley Blvd. in Goldsboro, which is the address of a Rite-Aid Pharmacy. He may have been headed to Wal-Mart, which is on N. Spence Ave. in Goldsboro.
The Silver Alert was issued at 11:42 p.m. Tuesday.
Simmons was driving a white 2004 Hyundai Elantra. The car has NC tags with the number LRY-4616.
