Reward offered for missing sex offender BY MICHAEL DEAK GANNETT NEW JERSEY BY MICHAEL DEAK Saturday, January 26, 2008 SOMERVILLE -- A $2,500 reward is being offered for information about the whereabouts of Angel B. Parada, who was found guilty Thursday of sexually assaulting a 7-year-old girl in North Plainfield. Douglas W. Kimmelman, president and board chairman of Crime Stoppers of Somerset County, announced the reward Friday for information that leads to the apprehension of Parada, 32, a former Army sergeant. Somerset County Prosecutor Wayne Forrest said a Somerset County jury found Parada guilty Thursday after two days of deliberations of first-degree aggravated sexual assault and second-degree endangering the welfare of a child. Superior Court Judge Paul Armstrong Paul W. Armstrong granted the prosecution's request to revoke defendant Parada's $75,000 cash bail and issued a warrant for his arrest for his failure to appear in court during jury deliberations and the return of the verdict.
