Fugitive of the Week: JOSEPH WELLS Wednesday, November 26, 2008 6:48 AM EST By MORNING JOURNAL STAFF news@MorningJournal.com ELYRIA — The Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force is offering a reward for information which would lead to the capture of fugitive sex offender Joseph Wells. Wells, 46, is wanted by the Adult Parole Authority and the Lorain County Sheriff's Office for escape and parole violation. Wells was originally convicted of attempted sexual battery, gross sexual imposition, drug trafficking, possession of drugs and tampering with evidence in June 2004. Wells' criminal history spans Ohio and reaches to Florida and also includes burglary and grand theft. Wells is a white male who stands 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs approximately 330 pounds. Wells has tattoos on his left and right arms. He has been on the run since July 2008 and has ties to Columbia Station, Lorain and Elyria.
