Fundraising ideas for non-profits needing to survive
Most of us trying to make it need help with staying afloat. My friend recently asked me how we survived without our EIN tax exempt number. We now have ours but others are waiting. That isn't an easy task as most of you know to survive. I had one friend tell me trying and failing is what it was all about when starting to be a voice for what you believe in. But also that isn't all of it or at least not to us here where we are brand new with our voice. To survive here are some ideas Bakers Best Competitions, things like silent auctions, gather famous peoples items for saleing on the internet for your cause, bake sales and yard sales work, also have ice cream socials, tea parties and motivational luncheons work well in a bind, have an awards benefit for the ones who sponsor or support you most, do the dunking booth with other high figures to be dunked, ask your community to place a bid to get someone off a roof or outta jail, do an activity that requires attendance fee to be paid like a carnival event, or a car smashing event as well could bring money opposite the junk price you will get for it. These are just a few items that can keep you going until IRS decides you are non-profit and asigns you that EIN for use. Thanks L Grieves for mentioning this for me to ponder on how I can help others to survive with an idea to pass along.
