Galion man charged in domestic burning of mother
John P. Peterson,27, appeared in Crawford County Municipal Court on Friday to face charges of first degree in the burning of his own mother. Judge James Hoover denied bond and he is currently in jail. Patricia McElhatten, 54, is in critical but stable condition at OSUMC with second and third degree burns. Police have classified it as Domestic Violence. Police Chief Saterfield says it was certainly unprovoked.
