Girl's body found behind Peoria school ASSOCIATED PRESS 07/30/2008 PEORIA, Ill. -- Authorities in central Illinois are investigating the death of a young girl whose body was found behind a middle school in Peoria. Police say a maintenance worker doing his morning rounds at Sterling Middle School found the girl, who remains unidentified. Police say the girl's body showed signs of trauma, but authorities haven't released details of her injuries. Police have no suspects and have made no arrests. An autopsy is scheduled for Thursday. The girl is described as a black teenager or preteen weighing between 130 and 150 pounds. She was five feet three inches tall and had short black hair with a red tint.
