Big Norm
Each day I will ride 3 seperate rides of approx. 60-75 miles in length. The ride will start on October 7th at 9:00 a.m. at the Punkin Center Motorcycle Resort in Maryville, Tennessee. I will go from city to city from there, and will eventually end the ride 14 days later on October 21st, back at the Punkin Center Motorcycle Resort, where Jody and Sherry Montgomery will be hosting their fall bike rally. For those of you that made it to the "Wakin' the Dragon Rally" in June, you already know what a great time is in store. The city destinations will start being posted on this site on Monday, June 19th, 2006. Upon reaching the first city, the ride will stop and I will attempt to obtain 250 signatures before moving on to the next city. For those of you doing the math on this one, 14 days, 3 stops per day, 250 signatures per stop, puts me just slightly over 10,000 signatures. That is my goal. In the mean time, I will continue to gather electronic signatures from my petition page, along with the great help and support I have been getting from wonderful people like Jody and Sherry Montgomery from the Punkin Center Motorcycle Resort, www.punkincentermotorcycleresort.com, and from John Carter with CMT Abate, Randy "Mag man" Gracy, Senator Tim Burchett, The Jessica Lunsford Foundation, Mark Lunsford, all of the incredible people at B.A.C.A. (Bikers Against Child Abuse) Guru, Caveman, Buffalo, SOB, and all of the other people that have been so supportive and helped by passing out petitions and getting signatures, I am sure I will reach my goal of not only getting 10,000 signatures, but of having this law passed in Tennessee. The legs of the ride will start posting to this page on Monday June 19th, 2006. I am asking all bikers that can ride with me to do so. Day 2 October 8, 2006 Chattanooga to Fayetteville, Fayetteville to Lawrenceburg, Lawrenceburg to Savannah Ride will leave Thunder Creek Harley Davidson at 9:00 A.M. Destinations in these cities will be announced in the coming days Day 3 October 9, 2006 Savannah to Jackson, Jackson to Bartlett Ride will leave at 10:00 a.m. from Savannah and arrive around Noon in Jackson at Bumpus Harley Davidson, from there the ride will progress towards Bartlett/Memphis and arrive at another Bumpus Harley Davidson dealership.
