Illinois, Wake Up!
Thank You First Amendment for writing this email to your fellow Illinoisans and sending us a copy. You did a great job! Dear Friends and Americans, We need to protect our children and now, during political debates, vital issues get buried among the politics of our great Nation. Change we can believe in is change brought by the people, for the people.This is serious friends! With all my heart I believe Mothers, Fathers, most people do want this Jessica's law to be here in Illinois. Think, why isn't it, why are the officials refusing it? "Politics! It should not be that way! Write your Governor and speak out to get this law passed and active in Illinois. Ask yourself, where do you think all the sex offenders will move to, the States that have "soft" laws for their crimes? Think, as Illinois fills with more and more convicted yet free sex offenders, "you" could have spoke up. Think, as this also and includes predators! Think to "change" Illinois law to protect our children. Think when you vote "Why" Illinois has outright refused Jessica's law. I have written to both, petition and email to our Governor Rod Blagojevich and our Senator Barak Obama (before he was running for President), a few times in the past years only to receive a couple emails that did not answer my question,"why" they are not pushing to get Jessica's law in Illinois and if they will. I have been trying for years but I need your help.Yes, years later I still ask myself , "why?" Somehow I cannot understand why anyone would not want our State to provide the utmost protection against such crime on our children. If you would not, please email me back and tell me why because I really want to know. They will get a slap on the wrist in Illinois and they know it. I am not "promoting" Mr. O' Reilly, some people do not like him. Fact is, he is the only one I know keeping track of ALL states and everyone can freely access the map and write to their Governor right from his site. Please pass this around.
