Jaramee Clarence Coleman-- 1993
Jaramee Clarence Coleman Jamaree was just 2 months old when his mother, Cheryl Lewrisey Coleman, took him to visit her brother in Brunswick, Georgia on July 24, 1993. Cheryl took Jamaree and began walking home from her brother's house in the early hours of the morning, and never made it. Later that day, her naked and mutilated body was found in Academy Creek, several blocks from her brother's home. She had been murdered and Jamaree was missing. Carl Harris later pleaded guilty to killing both Cheryl and Jamaree. He said after murdering the baby's mother, he left Jamaree at the edge of Academy Creek. It is believed that he was swept away by the water. Jamaree's body has never been found. Children Who Never Made It Home

Authorities determined Cheryl died as the result of a homicide. Her body was nude and had been mutilated. There was no sign of Jamaree at the scene. A man named Carl Harris was charged with both Cheryl and Jamaree's homicides and pled guilty to the crimes. He was sentenced to two terms of life in prison without parole, plus twenty years for assault. He also strangled Essie Marie Dowdy in November of 1993, and attacked an acquaintance, Rhonda Baskin, in October of that year. Harris said he had left Jamaree at the edge of Academy Creek, but the baby's body was never located. Jamaree remains missing. It is believed he was murdered with his mother and his body swept away by high tides.
