Jessica, My Inspiration
Jessica, My Inspiration I'd like to tell you about someone who has inspired me. A little girl I never met, but who has touched my heart. She was a beautiful child whose smile lit up her face and the world around her. She was the heart of her family. She loved to go to church and sing out loud with her father. She loved the colors pink & purple. The last song that anyone ever heard her sing was "The Sun will come out Tomorrow." Jessica's sun never came out. Her life was cut short at the age of 9 by a man who abducted, molested and subsequently murdered her. Jessica Marie Lunsford has inspired me to help do something to prevent this from happening to another child. She has inspired me to become part of the fight for stricter punishments for sex offenders--"Jessica's Law". If these laws were already in place, Jessica and many other children would still be alive. Jessica has inspired me to take part in the fight to make the world safer for our children. It has come time that we say Enough is Enough! Although her life was short, it can make a difference. She has inspired me to become a better person, a better mother, a better citizen. Her death will not be in vain...........She has touched many and will continue to for years to come.......
