Medical examiners have determined that a man whose body was found Monday on Pettus Road had been beaten to death, Metro police said yesterday.
The victim, whom police had not identified, had been dead for three to seven days when his body was discovered decomposing inside an abandoned dairy barn. Police believe he was killed somewhere else and dumped there.
The white man was between 30 and 40 years old, 5-foot-10 and about 140 pounds and has shoulder-length brown hair.
Police asked anyone with information about him or his death to call Crime Stoppers at 742-7463, or 74-CRIME, or the Metro Police South Precinct at 862-7763.
