Thursday, February 17, 2005 What Jesus Really Said Was... ¶ 9:44 PM "I am the way, the truth, and the light. There is no other way to know the Father but by these (me)." Posted by: Joe Criminals Are Victims Too ¶ 9:49 AM As long as we keep attacking the symptoms of social disease--the so called offenders--then our problems will keep getting worse. Some day (soon I hope) society will be forced to "wake up" and recognize how it propagates its own misery by denying the truth that criminals are victims too. Posted by: Joe

Tuesday, February 15, 2005 Illusive Invention ¶ 10:30 AM I realized yesterday that many of the inventions that we take for granted (transistors, light bulbs, telephone, etc...) were invented by individuals such that if they had not come along we may not have ever known about their inventions and the world would be quite a different place. Then I realized, there must be thousands of inventions that have not been invented that could have had similar importance in our world. I wonder what they could have been? Posted by: Joe

Blogging The Fifth Nail Sunday, January 30, 2005 Loosing My Religion ¶ 11:11 AM Life is bigger It’s bigger than you And you are not me The lengths that I will go to The distance in your eyes Oh no, I’ve said too much I set it up (chorus) That’s me in the corner That’s me in the spotlight Losing my religion Trying to keep up with you And I don’t know if I can do it Oh no, I’ve said too much I haven’t said enough I thought that I heard you laughing I thought that I heard you sing I think I thought I saw you try Every whisper Of every waking hour i’m Choosing my confessions Trying to keep an eye on you Like a hurt lost and blinded fool, fool Oh no, I’ve said too much I set it up Consider this Consider this The hint of the century Consider this The slip that brought me To my knees failed What if all these fantasies Come flailing around Now I’ve said too much I thought that I heard you laughing I thought that I heard you sing I think I thought I saw you try But that was just a dream That was just a dream (repeat chorus) But that was just a dream Try, cry, why try? That was just a dream Just a dream, just a dream Dream Posted by: Joe Reborn Laptop ¶ 12:01 AM My laptop has been officially reborn (rebuilt). She is squeaky clean, virus and spyware free, fast as greased lightening and ready to roll! I have a lot of installing and configuring to do over the next week or so as I bring her back up to speed. My friend Joe has agreed to take me by the hand financially and show me how to spend my money constructively. Now that is a good friend! I've been out of prison for almost five years now and I'm still living from paycheck to paycheck. That is not the way things should be, especially considering how much I grossed last year, (I won't say, but it was a lot more than I expected and I have nothing to show for it). I have a new fan, Jerry, who thinks I should make a documentary about my experiences. I think he is right, I should, but not until I am ready I think. Jerry sounds like a really neat guy, he has a great blog (see "Sasha" entry below) that I think I understand. Keep your eyes on the air waves, Jerry, I could be famous sooner than you think, but hopefully not too soon. Posted by: Joe

Wednesday, January 26, 2005 Sasha ¶ 8:57 PM Panda Conspiracy Posted by: Joe There Can Be Only One! ¶ 8:52 PM Those words so perfectly express the very answer to all things, "There can be only one." Free Will is more than just the ability to choose. The choice must be accompanied by the power to act on the choice. And if that power is limited, then it is not free will; it is in fact limited will. And limited will is not free will, because whoever sets the limits is the one controlling you, possibly even against your will. Unless...Unless the controlling entity, the one who has True Free Will (God) is somehow One and the Same as the one with limited will, then there can be Free Will. Before this world knows peace, we must all understand, "There can be only one!" It is the message of all the great sages. One Will, many minds, many dreams. The mind is nothing more than a dream machine. Science has known this for some time, you merely dream all that you think you see. Sure, that dream is based on inputs from the "real world," but it is still just a dream, and as such with a little practice you can have a lot of fun manipulating your dream while you are awake! Tuesday, January 25, 2005 Are The Police Spying On Me? ¶ 10:50 AM My laptop has been acting strange lately, seems I keep getting re-infected with spyware type viruses. I finally found the hole and plugged it, but now today I get a rejection nottice in my email box for an email I never sent. The rejecting server is located in the same city I was being investigated out of this summer. I have no business with anyone in that city. Could the message be caused by a program that is trying to email out key-stroke logs? Why can't the police see how evil what they are doing is? Why do most people think the police serve a useful function? Why can't people realize that George Orwell was a prophet? Posted by: Joe

Friday, January 21, 2005 Fender Bender ¶ 10:59 PM On the way to work today I slid on a large patch of ice through a red light into a busy intersection and hit a woman driving a 2004 Envoy. Her bumber was chipped and cracked (repair est. $800) my hood was krinkled and headlight was broken, that's all (repair est. $989.00). I'm going to just straighten out the hood and replace the headlight and call it good (cost est. $75). I wonder if we spend our money on vanity, are we spending our money in vane?. Posted by: Joe

Wednesday, January 12, 2005 Dangerous Grandma Set Free After Assault! ¶ 8:29 AM IN-FORUM : "Woman not charged for slapping security The Forum Published Wednesday, January 12, 2005 A woman who slapped a security agent at Fargo's Hector International Airport will not face a criminal charge, a federal prosecutor said. The 48-year-old woman slapped the female agent with her boarding pass Dec. 1 after being told she must be frisked for repeatedly setting off the metal detector, police said. The agents then held the woman and called police for an assault, making her miss her flight home to Washington. The officer did not arrest her, but passed on a report to prosecutors." Posted by: Joe

Tuesday, January 11, 2005 Community And Inteligence ¶ 10:16 AM Any functional community will by nature give rise to intelligence. The function of the community does not necessary have to be "positive" (or "Good") in order for it to be intelligent. Intelligence is a synergistic property of the social system. By understanding this simple concept we can reshape our society to be crime free and poverty free. But in order to do that we have to recognize what is "functional" about our current society, in other words, "who benifits?" By analyzing the benificiaries we can divert their "needs" to more constructive ends Posted by: Joe

Monday, January 10, 2005 We're Freezing To Death Up Here! ¶ 11:55 PM IN-FORUM : "Authorities say couple died of hypothermia The Associated Press - Tuesday, January 11, 2005 MANKATO, Minn. An elderly man and woman found dead on a rural Blue Earth County road suffered from hypothermia, authorities said Monday. Capt. Rich Murry of the Blue Earth County Sheriff's Office said there was no foul play in the deaths of George Nielsen, 65, and his wife, Judith Nielsen, 62. The county medical examiner's office ruled they died from hypothermia. The Nielsens were reported missing Wednesday, after George Nielsen had picked his wife up at the Hillcrest Nursing Home and didn't return by evening. The sheriff's office said the couple was on a small side road off County Road 32 when their minivan got stuck in the snow and George Nielsen went looking for help. His body was found Friday about 75 yards from the van. Judith Nielsen was dead inside." Posted by: Joe

Monday, January 03, 2005 What Is A Small Minded Person? ¶ 3:58 PM Small minded people are just what the song says, they think small thoughts. So what is a small thought? A small thought is any thought that fails to consider more than the thinkers own view point. Thus most small minded people fail to recognize their malady because they typically are complete oblivious to any view but their own, and even when they are aware that there are other views, they usually see these as opposing their own views and therefore are categorically disregarded as meaningless. Posted by: Joe Correctional Education Helps, But Uncle Sam Ain't Buying ¶ 8:55 AM I'm sure this woman (who abuses her children) has been told she needs help, but whether or not she understands the urgency is a whole different issue and not my responsibility. That is her responsiblity which I can do nothing about (only she can make that choice.) What I can do is educate myself about why people do this kind of thing, then try to put "stops" in place to prevent it from happening again. By "stops" I don't mean "laws." I mean stops such as real education programs, aimed at low income families. These are not my ideas. Much research and numerous studies have shown (I know because I did a research paper for college on this very subject) that education is the only proven effective (state sanctionable) measure against this type of behavior. And yet education programs are always the first to get cut, which has been shown to cost tax payers much much more. If you want to know more just do a little research on correctional education programs in the US. IN-FORUM Posted by: Joe

Friday, December 31, 2004 On Social Responsibilty ¶ 3:04 AM Be careful to not mistake responsibility for blame. The blame game accomplishes nothing. Taking responsibility accomplishes a lot. You can't force responsibility on another person; that is just a variation of the blame game--so loved by many because it temporarily negates responsibility. I think most would agree that no-one is perfect; we all make mistakes and bad decisions. The ability to learn and react to these mistakes is the process of taking responsibility. Pointing a finger merely postpones the inevitable backlash into our own lives of such horrendous behavior. If we even blame ourselves then we are not taking responsibility, we are instead once again hiding from it by putting ourselves down for being imperfect and reinforcing our belief that we are failures and incapable of responsible action. I suspect the mother of this poor child is caught in such a trap; a trap that has been set by our social attitudes, which you and I are responsible for shaping. Rather than seeking ways to punish her, and teach her a lesson (forcing her to take responsibility which as I said is not possible) we should instead look into our own lives to find how we incognizantly indorse her behavior. It is not easy, and the realizations that are necessary are seldom pleasant ones. One example (specifically for “Freedom”) might be the simple act of calling her “uncaring and irresponsible” likely supporting the negative self image that propagated the behavior in the first place. But that would be only one example, there are many more we will find if we just have the heart to be honest with ourselves. It is a common and dangerous mistake to conclude that what I am saying is that this mother is not responsible for her actions. If I could somehow convince her how responsible she is I would gladly do so, but considering the degree of her behavior, I doubt if she is capable of understanding how much control she has over her own life, and the life of her child. So instead I turn to myself, my friends, family, and you (the reader) who I hope can at least glimpse the truth in what I say. We must share responsibility for each others behavior. Ultimately when we mature as a society this is what we will have learned. IN-FORUM Posted by: Joe

Thursday, December 30, 2004 The True Nature of Victimization ¶ 4:14 PM Our society is extremely immature yet, and as such the ability to recognize the true nature of victimization is lost to most. We foolishly believe that people make choices in a vacuum with no regard for the world they live in. The truth is however that choices are always made as a direct reflection of the environment the choice is made in. So, if you are part of the environment in which a choice is made, then you are just as responsible for that choice as the person making it, many times even more responsible. I don't expect everyone to understand this concept, it requires letting go of many reassuring delusions, like the belief in “right” and “wrong.” Posted by: Joe (0) comments On Mothers Who Abuse Their Own Children ¶ 8:46 AM The big mystery here is why so many people think more laws will fix everything. Laws can't fix problems like this any more than money can buy Love. There are solutions though, that don't involve money or laws, just personal sacrifice. If we really cared about that baby, we would realize that the woman who bore the child is a victim of corrupt morals. We must recognize that the child and the mother are victims, our victims, and take responsibility for the situation instead of relying on a dysfunctional government for help. As a society we must realize that you can never force or even coerce someone else to take responsibility, and trying to do so only worsens the matter. But we can take responsibility ourselves, and when we do we can fix an amazing number of ills in the world. In fact it is not only the best way to make the world a better place, it is the only way. Attempting to shift responsibility onto the victims (Mother and child) accomplishes nothing, and in fact makes things worse in the end. Posted by: Joe

Tuesday, December 21, 2004 Bowing Down To The Insane Gods of Criminal Justice ¶ 8:15 AM Let he who has not sinned cast the first stone. Most cops are the worst "criminals" I know (and I know several cops, including my own brother). They break the law routinely and consider it amongst themselves a fringe benefit of being a cop. If people were just a little more conscious of the world around them they would see how ridiculous they all look bowing down to the insane gods of criminal justice; gods that promise relief from grievances that they have no power to deliver. No knock search warrents are just another tool used to deceive the masses in to thinking they are safe. Like making human sacrifices (ritualistic murders designed to appease the imaginary entities that dictate the events of our lives). They call them executions, but a careful study from an anthropological perspective reveals that they are indeed a form of human sacrifice. And we pretend to be civilized! Posted by: Joe

Monday, December 20, 2004 The Mother Of Invention Is Necessity!? ¶ 6:58 PM "The mother of invention is necessity." Whoever spoke those words couldn't have realized they had possibly spoken the very key to intelligence its self! Intelligence is invention, the ability to invent solutions. So, it follows that necessity is the mother of intelligence as well. How true I just realized this is! I sat this last weekend working on a program that simulates a population of "walkers." While watching my little walkers struggle to survive I realized that all they needed to be able to solve a problem was a need to solve it. I must create the need for them to learn by carefully controlling their environment, their world. If I can do this I will have discovered the key to understanding intelligence such that it could be replicated and demonstrated on a machine. This is very exciting to me. If we teach machines to learn and solve problems with inventive and creative intelligent solutions, then we are forced to abandon our role as "top of the intellectual order." Because, suddenly intellect is for sale, you can get your own prof-man, a professor in your pocket. Posted by: Joe

Sunday, December 19, 2004 You don't know what fed up is... ¶ 8:41 PM The only reason I would call the police is because if I didn't I would go to jail for not reporting a crime. And I'm not just talking, I know how to protect myself, and can think for myself as well. Does that make me a "threat to society." The police are supposed to be providing a valuable service to our communities, when instead they are weakening your minds so you will depend on them more, and pay your taxes, so they can "protect you" from things you should damn well know how to protect yourself from!
