Silver Alert issued for missing Polk County woman Staff Reports • published November 18, 2008 8:47 am Authorities are searching for an elderly woman who dissapeared from an apartment in Columbus. The N.C. Center for Missing Persons issued a Silver Alert this morning for Joyce Elaine Earley, 78. She was last seen at High Woods Apartments, 15 Pond Tree Lane, Columbus. Investigators believe she suffers from dementia or another cognitive impairment. Early is white, 5'2'' tall, 132 pounds with short gray hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a gray pants. Her car is a white 2000 Ford Focus with license plate number JZN7842. Her destination and direction of travel are unknown.
