Just A vent maybe rambling
I live in Charleston SC area today I was looking at the missingkids website and saw a young lady that is from our area and I know... she has been missing for 6 weeks......Anyway she is a social services case..... so of course no fliers no articles no nothing. So I call a contact I have at NCME and get some info thinking I would give the detective a call and maybe help him. No detective on the case says to just call police which I did about 4 hours ago no return call also was given a number to make contact with her social worker HAHA the police gave NCME the wrong number I verified this twice with my contact. And NCME just got the case a few days ago. now this young lady will be 18 next month and I am outraged that she has been missing 6 weeks and no one has really looked for her. I think because she is a DSS case which really pisses me off. Just because you are a DSS case doesn't mean you don't need help or guidance or better yet doesn't mean there can't be one freaking person in a police department or heck DSS that takes the time to ask for info thru fliers or newspaper. what has this world become when tomorrow's adults are being let down by todays adults. when a child runs away imo it is because they want or need help not because they like being on the streets. okay enough venting. Oh by the way I made 200 fliers for her and will be passing them out

The possibility exist she may not be a run away .. What if it is an abduction and no one paid any attention. Even if a run away she may need help and in a dangerous situation. I do not feel any state provides or meets the needs of our foster children. I am sick and tired of social workers statements of not enough funds or they are overworked. This is probably true but what are we doing about it? I admire your actions and hope all turns out well.
well those who know me at this forum know that I will raise hell about this. especially when the police never returned my call nor did DSS so i emailed a reporter friend of mine and ask him how 5 kids from same area come up missing within days of each other but no one has reported it on news or in paper and ask him WTF no fliers either. So tomorrow I will make a appointment with the mayor of North Charleston and ask him WTF. today i did put out close to 200 fliers for her and tomorrow I will work on the other ones missing from that area.
