AMBER ALERT - The abduction Kai Wilder-Brathwaite Published: Thursday, July 30, 2009 1:02 PM EDT There is an Amber Alert for 16-year-old Kai Wilderbrathwaite. Her mother Dr. Gloria Wilder said that even though the police are not treating the case as such - her daughter has been abducted. She added that she has mental challenges and has been without essential medication since at 10:30 p.m. on Friday when she left the Decatur Street home where she was staying in Brooklyn. The case is being treated as a runaway by the police, Ms. Wilder said. She was wearing a black shirt and grey pants, and is 5'9" and about 150 pounds. * Police have interviewed the man who allegedly took her but, but Ms. Wilder said they let him go because of a lack of evidence. Kai Wilderbrathwaite, 16, got into a livery cab on Decatur Street near Stuyvesant Avenue on Friday at 10:30 a.m. and was dropped off in Manhattan, cops said. She is 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs approximately 150 pounds. She was seen wearing a black shirt and gray pants.
