Level 3 sex offender moves to Brooklyn Park BY Sarah Wolfe - Sun Newspapers (Created: Thursday, December 11, 2008 7:52 AM CST) A Level 3 sex offender has moved to Brooklyn Park, according to police. Kevin Lee Rambo, 33, was convicted of fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct for an incident involving sexual contact with a 15-year-old girl, Brooklyn Park Police said. Rambo used force to gain compliance and knew the victim, police said. He was released June 1 and moved Nov. 14 to the 8200 block of Halifax Court in Brooklyn Park. Rambo is also known as Cleave Gordon Erickson, Cleave Weston Erickson, Kevin Lee Erickson, John Thomas and John Francis Thomas, according to the Minnesota Department of Corrections. He is described as a white male with blue eyes and sandy hair, standing 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing approximately 302 pounds. Authorities held a community meeting Wednesday, Dec. 3, to give neighbors and other Brooklyn Park residents more information about Rambo and provide safety tips. According to the Minnesota Department of Corrections, Level 3 offenders are considered a high risk to reoffend. The End of Confinement Review Committee at each Minnesota state prison or treatment facility determines an offender's risk level. Information about Level 3 offenders is posted on the Minnesota Department of Correction website once a community notification meeting has occurred.
