15 Years Later, Police Search For Woman's Killer Reward Offered In Case POSTED: 3:13 pm CST November 3, 2005 UPDATED: 4:13 pm CST November 3, 2005 MISSOURI CITY, Texas -- Missouri City police are asking for help to solve a cold case, KPRC Local 2 reported Thursday. The crime happened in 1990, when a 38-year-old woman was attacked, sexually assaulted and killed in her home. Kim Wildman lived alone in the 1400 block of Whispering Pine Drive in the Hunter's Glen subdivision. She was stabbed 15 times. "She fought very gallantly. She had several defensive wounds from trying to fight the knife off," said Detective Andi Wiltse, with the Missouri City Police Department. Wiltse has hundreds of pages in the case file documenting the brutal attack. "There's signs of a struggle in numerous rooms in the house, but mainly her bedroom where we believe initial assault occurred," she said. Wildman managed to dial 911. The dispatchers at first heard one scream in the background then a long pause of silence. The victim eventually managed to make it back to the phone to utter a desperate plea for help. "Dying, been stabbed," Wildman told dispatchers. The dispatcher tried to figure out who was the attacker. "Is the guy that did it -- is he still there?" the dispatcher said. "Stabbed. No, he's gone," Wildman said. "Do you know him?" the dispatcher asked. "No," Wildman replied. Paramedics found Wildman's nude body in her kitchen next to the phone. "He came into her house in the middle of the night without her being aware of it. We don't believe that he was invited," Wiltse said. But there is one thing they are certain about. "This is a very, very violent crime, a very violent criminal and regardless how cold this case is or how old it is, this person needs to be brought to justice," Wiltse said. A cash reward is being offered in the case. Anyone with information is asked to call Fort Bend County Crime Stoppers at (281) 342-TIPS. Callers remain anonymous. http://c1.zedo.com/jsc/c1/ff2.html?n=162;c=527/116/1;s=87;d=16;w=720;h=300;t=UndertoneNetworks.com
