Death Of Girl Found In Lake Ruled Homicide NewsNet5.com September 1, 2006 SUMMIT COUNTY, Ohio - The death of a 6-year-old Ravenna girl at West Branch State Park earlier this summer was ruled a homicide by the Summit County medical examiner Friday. Lanaya Longmire's family reported the girl missing on June 8. Crews searched the park's lake and after two searches found the girl. She later died at Akron Children's Hospital. The girl was originally believed to have drowned. According to the medical examiner's report, the cause of death was asphyxia. The ruling said the girl was raped, beaten and choked to death. Prosecutors to be handed ruling
Today they are saying prosecutors will be going over this case. The coroners office told this to the media Friday, when the story was published in the Daily Jeffersonian. It had to be whoever she was swimming with, I do believe, the paper said no formal charges had been filed as of yet. :evil: :twisted:& :( :( :( :(
