Police: Ex-Boyfriend Made Threats Toward Missing Girl Makenzie Green Last Seen Wednesday Morning POSTED: 9:39 pm CDT October 28, 2009 UPDATED: 10:14 pm CDT October 28, 2009 INDEPENDENCE, Mo. -- Police are looking for a missing 16-year-old girl. Makenzie R. Green was last seen dropping off a friend at school in Grain Valley at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday. Makenzie's car was later found in a parking lot in Independence with her cell phone, purse and belongings. Police said Makenzie recently ended a relationship with her boyfriend, Curtis L. Hagey, 16, and is believed to be with him. Police said the boyfriend recently made harmful threats toward Makenzie, and relatives are afraid for her safety. Makenzie is 5 feet 4 inches tall, 120 pounds, and was last seen wearing a blue Eagles sweatshirt and black sweatpants. Green, a 16-year-old Independence girl who disappeared early Thursday morning. Green was last seen dropping a friend off at school at 7:30 a.m. in Grain Valley. Green’s car was later found in a parking lot in Independence with her cell phone, purse and belongings. Green recently ended a relationship with her boyfriend and is believed to be with him, according to police. He was identified as Curtis L. Hagey, also age 16. The boyfriend has recently made harmful threats toward Green, police said. “Police and family are in fear for her safety,” according to police. Green is 5-foot, 4-inches tall and weighs 120 pounds. She was wearing a blue Eagles sweatshirt and black Under Armor sweatpants. Teenager from Independence located along with boyfriend in St. Joseph 7:38 AM CDT, October 29, 2009 INDEPENDENCE, Mo. (AP) — Independence police say a 16-year-old girl who had not been seen since Wednesday morning has been found in St. Joseph. An Amber Alert that had been issued for Makenzie R. Green has been cancelled. The alert was issued when Green went missing after being seen dropping off a friend at school in Grain Valley at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday. Her car was later found abandoned. Police said the family was concerned because Green had recently broken up with a boyfriend, who had made threats against her and her family.
