COLUMBUS, Ohio -- A suspected bank robber made it easy for police to catch him, officials said.
The incident began at the Fifth Third Bank on West Broad Street at about 3:15 p.m., NBC 4 reported.
Investigators said a man handed a note to a teller demanding money. Although no weapon was observed, the teller gave the robber money from her drawer, including a dye pack.
After getting the cash, the man simply sat down on a chair in the bank and waited to be arrested.
When police arrived, officers arrested 62-year-old Timothy Bowers.
Deputies escorted Bowers to the squad car, and the dye pack from the cash exploded.
