EAST HARTFORD, Conn. -- A 64-year-old man who served two different prison terms for killing two people has been arrested on a charge of threatening to kill his wife.
Henry Robinson, convicted of killing his girlfriend in 1975 and murdering an accomplice in a Hartford bank robbery in 1981, had just been paroled last month.
Robinson was on parole Saturday night when he got into an argument with his wife at their home, police said.
After a struggle with police, Robinson was arrested and charged with attempt to commit murder, three counts of reckless endangerment, threatening, interfering with police and cruelty to animals.
"Robinson has a very violent history," police spokesman Officer Hugo Benettieri said.
Benettieri said Robinson came home drunk Saturday night, argued with his wife, Brenda Allen-Robinson, picked up a kitchen knife and threatened to kill her, her daughter and her daughter's boyfriend.
The three fled from the house and called police about 11:30 p.m., Benettieri said.
