Female sex offender goes missing 10:43 AM PDT on Tuesday, July 8, 2008 KING5.com Staff SEATTLE – A Level 3 sex offender who was released from prison last month has disappeared from Mason County. Amanda Sue Warnecke, 41, pleaded guilty in 1996 to second degree child molestation in Mason County. She just finished serving time at the Washington Correction Center for Women for failing to register as a sex offender in Spokane County. Now, she has failed to register again. The Mason County Sheriff's Office says Warnecke's conviction stems from a night where she and her husband raped a 13-year-old girl then told the girl not to say anything. Due to her rape conviction and repeated failures to register as a sex offender, the Mason County Sheriff's Office is labeling her a Level 3 offender – considered the highest risk to strike again.
