Update: EquuSearch search for Kersh delayed Posted by Jeremy Gray -- The Birmingham News December 14, 2008 10:57 AM Categories: Breaking News Texas EquuSearch Mounted Search and Recovery Team will likely not search today for missing Homewood mother Nadia Kira Kersh, said founder Tim Miller. The team will likely fly back to Texas today to try and find the body of a 20-year-old man who drowned when his boat capsized just outside of Dallas, Miller said. The team may return later this week, Miller said in a telephone interview as he drove around Birmingham looking for places that weren't searched on Saturday. Miller said the group may also try to stay in town and send another team to Texas to search for the drowning victim. On Saturday, Miller's team, along with local law enforcement and other search teams, conducted a search in a three-mile radius around the area where Kersh's abandoned car was found. She disappeared Nov. 3 after leaving her job at Tria Market in Homewood to pick up her son and never made it to the day care. Texas EquuSearch has been involved in a number of high-profile missing person cases, including the searches for toddler Caylee Anthony in Florida and Mountain Brook High School graduate Natalee Holloway in Aruba. Miller and his team arrived in Birmingham Friday and met with law enforcement officials. Searchers did not find anything Saturday, he said, but they eliminated a lot of areas where Kersh could be. http://blog.al.com/spotnews/2008/12/post_14.html
