Sex offender moves to Mandan LOADING Feb 02, 2008 - 04:05:32 CST A high-risk sex offender has moved to Mandan. Nathan Levi Mathews, 25, now is living at 404 W. Main St. #414, according to a release from the Mandan Police Department. The release said Mathews was convicted of a "sex offense against a person" in Stark County in 1996. He was sentenced to 18 months in the division of juvenile services. Mathews also was convicted in Texas County, Okla., in 2002 of child abuse and neglect. He was sentenced to one year in prison, according to the North Dakota attorney general's sex offender Web site. Mandan police say Mathews is not wanted by law enforcement. "This notification is not intended to increase fear in the community,"the release said.
