Police Try To Identify Woman Jogger Hit By Car
(AP) WILMINGTON, Del. Delaware state police are looking for help identifying a jogger who is in critical condition after she was hit by a car on Monday morning.
Police say 50-year-old Karen Zellis of Boothwyn, Pennsylvania, was driving east on Naamans Road just before 8 a.m. when her car hit the woman.
New Castle County paramedic spokeswoman Sergeant Kelli Starr-Leach says the jogger was unconscious and barely breathing when paramedics arrived. She was treated at the scene for head and neck injuries and flown to Christiana Hospital.
The jogger is described as a white woman between 40 and 60 years old. She was wearing blue running shorts, a white shirt with two yellow stripes, multi-colored mittens with a smiley face on the tip of each finger, and blue and white Asics running shoes.
