Baby Abandoned At American Legion In Pico Rivera
(CBS) PICO RIVERA, Calif. A newborn boy left Friday at an American Legion post in Pico Rivera was in good condition at a local hospital, authorities said.
The baby was wrapped in a blanket with the umbilical cord still attached, said Lt. Joe Chavez of the sheriff's Pico Rivera Station.
Deputies discovered the boy after witnesses saw a woman in her late 20s driving away from the American Legion at 7642 Serapis Ave. in a dark green Toyota or Honda about 11:30 a.m., he said.
The car had a rear spoiler attached to the trunk, he said.
Anyone with information about the suspect was asked to call the sheriff's station at (562) 949-2421.
