Eau Claire Police say someone was walking near Otter Creek Sunday night just south of Clairemont Avenue when they found the human remains in a large drainage tunnel. The tunnel runs under the Highway 53 Bypass and drains into Otter Creek. Police say a firearm was found near the body. Officer Jason Kaveney says it appears the body had been in the tunnel for more than a year. Kaveney also says police are checking missing persons databases.
