Police may ID body found in Duck River 20 years ago Posted: Jan 9, 2009 01:14 PM EST Investigators are on the verge of positively identifying a man whose body was found in the Duck River nearly two decades ago. According to the Columbia Daily Herald, Maury County authorities believe remains found by two fishermen are those of Clifford Sharp, a Columbia man who went missing in September 1989. Investigators had no leads in the case until recently, when forensic scientists reconstructed the face of the man. Sharp's sister, Linda Armstrong, said when she saw the artist's re-creation a "cold chill" went through her body and she knew it was her brother. The body was found about a mile and a half away from where Sharp was raised. Maury County Detective Jerry Williams would not speculate on the cause of death, but he said the case is being treated as a homicide. *The Columbia Daily Herald contributed to this report. http://www.wkrn.com/global/story.asp?s=9646692
