Police Seek Woman Who Made Panicked 911 Call Before Connection Ended, Caller Indicated Someone Was After Her POSTED: 10:55 pm EST November 17, 2006 UPDATED: 2:20 am EST November 18, 2006 GREENCASTLE, Ind. -- Police said they're trying to determine what happened to a woman who frantically told a 911 dispatcher that someone was about to attack her in an eastern Putnam County community on Friday afternoon. The woman called 911 at about 12:30 p.m. from a pay phone outside a clubhouse in the Heritage Lake neighborhood several miles east of Greencastle. Sounding out of breath, she indicated that someone -- identifying him only as "he" -- was in her car and about to run her over. After the caller said where she was, the dispatcher asked for her name. Instead of giving her name, the caller said, "He's coming toward me right now," and the connection ended. Police went to the clubhouse but did not find the caller. Putnam County Sheriff Mark Frisbie said he believes the call was not a prank, but a genuine call for help. "This woman is clearly in trouble. What kind of trouble, we don't know," Frisbie told 6News' Ericka Flye. "Is it her boyfriend? Ex-husband? Current husband? Someone totally unknown? We don't have any information." Investigators took the receiver from the pay phone to check for fingerprints or some other evidence. "We can't just let (the call) go," Frisbie said. "It's our responsibility to track this down and see what's going on." Police said the clubhouse was closed when the woman made the call. She might have sought shelter there, only to find herself shut out, they said. People in the neighborhood were unnerved by news of the incident. "This is pretty alarming," Heritage Lake resident Robin Howland said. "A lot of people are very shook up about it." Anyone with information about the caller can contact the Putnam County Sheriff's Department at 765-653-5515. http://www.theindychannel.com/news/10349376/detail.html

Abducted 19-Year-Old Putnam County Woman Found Nov 20, 2006 04:44 PM CST By Gene Rodriguez News 8 @ 6:00 The Putnam County Sheriff says the woman believed to be responsible for a frantic 911 call Friday and possibly abducted that afternoon is now safe. The call came from a pay phone in a Putnam County lake lommunity. The woman on the phone told the dispatcher a man was in her car and trying to run over her. She then said the man was approaching her and that is when the phone went dead. Sheriff Mark Frisbie says nearly 36 hours after the call was made the woman's mother called dispatch and said the voice belonged to her 19-year-old daughter Madonna Owens who was running from her boyfriend, 23-year-old Matthew Bishop. "Well mom's not happy, mom didn't realize they were still dating," Frisbie said. The sheriff says Madonna and Matthew got into a fight at Madonna's mother's house, it was before that very emotional phone call. According to the sheriff, Matthew convinced Madonna to drive him to a friend's house where they again fought in the car. She decided to flee so she went to the club house. "They were in a heightened argument. He had tried to choke her, she had run from the car and she thought that he was trying to run her over. When she got to the phone she dialed 911, you heard the call. He jumped out of the car, disconnected and allegedly drug her by the hair back to the car," Frisbie said. Sheriff Frisbie says Matthew convinced Madonna to drive him to Avon. The next day Bishop went to the convenience store in Danville where Madonna works and that is where Danville police arrested him. "We had actually worked on a domestic situation with them earlier in the year," said Frisbie. Bishop is in the Hendricks County jail for a probation violation. Frisbie says he may see formal charges for the assault and interrupting the 911 call as well. http://www.wishtv.com/Global/story.asp?S=5704813

She really should get away from him before she becomes one of the women in this country killed in a domestic situation.that is what happened with my baby sister.she was abused, but never left because of her children.then she disappeared and we know it's due to her husband hurting her.....no woman should go through this
