Pembroke Pines Bans Sex Offenders From Moving Into City POSTED: 8:30 am EST February 22, 2007 PEMBROKE PINES, Fla. -- Pembroke Pines officials said anyone convicted of a sexual offense in the US now can't move into their city. City officials approved a measure Wednesday that beefed up an existing city code, according to television reports. The previous code only banned people who were convicted in the state from residing in Pembroke Pines. Officials said the law takes effect immediately.
