HAMILTON, Ohio -- Rather than a business suit, an Ohio prosecutor was allegedly walking around a government building in his birthday suit. So now he's the one being prosecuted.
Scott Blauvelt, 35, was arrested Monday.
He was released from jail and awaits a hearing in Hamilton Municipal Court, where he usually works.
A guard keeping an eye on a security camera told authorities he saw it all. And according to the sheriff's office, that wasn't the first time. Officials said that the night before, Blauvelt was also caught by the camera leaving nothing to the imagination.
Sheriff's Maj. Anthony Dwyer in Hamilton, near Cincinnati, said investigators don't know what would have led Blauvelt to do that. No one else was around at the time.
Blauvelt's lawyer, Michael Gmoser, said the prosecutor suffers from bipolar disease, takes medication for seizures after being seriously hurt in a car accident last year, and has been under added stress since his wife recently miscarried.
He called Blauvelt "an American with a disability."
Authorities called it indecency. Conviction can bring a month in jail and a $250 fine.
