"Warning Signs of Sexual Abuse"
"Warning Signs of Sexual Abuse" (Excerpted from "Sexual Predator: How to Identify Registered and Unregistred Sex Offenders") by Robert Scott, P.I. Are there warning signs that a particular person may be a child molester or some other type of sex offender? Perhaps by the way the person speaks, acts or looks? Or where he congregates? How about by his marital history or sexual orientation? The answer to these questions is sometimes yes, sometimes no. The single greatest warning sign that a particular person might be a danger to those around him is a prior criminal conviction for violent or sexual offenses. Clearly, if you have knowledge that a particular person has been previously convicted of a violent crime or certain sex offenses, vigilance is in order. But what about less obvious warning signs for situations where a person does not have a known criminal history? Perhaps this might be a relative, a neighbor or a camp counselor. http://www.crimetime.com/restricted/bonusabuse.htm
