Family Fears Foul Play After Mesquite Mother’s Disappearance Detectives Ask For Help In Case POSTED: 9:15 am CST November 3, 2006 UPDATED: 9:41 am CST November 3, 2006 MESQUITE, Texas -- A Mesquite mother of two has vanished, and family and police fear she may be the victim of foul play after her car was found abandoned. Her family fears the worst, and detectives are asking for help. "I'd like to know if she's alive, if she's well, what happened. Maybe she has amnesia, I don't know," husband Harold Barr said. Barr said he hasn't talked to his estranged wife Sabrina Barr, 36, since early October when she disappeared. “My personal opinion, I just say it's not looking good," Barr said. The couple ran two tattoo shops in Dallas. Sabrina Barr lived in an upscale Mesquite home with her 21-year-old son and 9-year-old daughter. The children moved out after she vanished. "And we have reason to believe she may be an endangered person. After we found her car we're concerned about her safety and her whereabouts," Dallas police Cpl. Donna Hernandez said. Police said Sabrina Barr was last seen at a trucking company on Military Parkway on Oct. 2. Her car was found abandoned a few blocks away. "I know something drastic happened to her… I think so. Jan 24, 2007 3:24 pm US/Central Body Identified As Missing Dallas Woman Steve Pickett Reporting (CBS 11 News) MESQUITE A missing person investigation in Dallas is now a homicide investigation for the Mesquite Police Department. Authorities have found the body of Dallas business owner Sabrina Barr in an abandoned house. The 37-year-old mother of two disappeared in October. She owned and operated two tattoo salons in Dallas, and was last seen near a truck transport center in the 9700 block of Military Parkway. When police connected the identity of the body to Barr, it ended three months of hoping, praying and wishing by her mother. "I was hopeful," said Barr's mother, Lois Chiles. "I thought maybe she had been somewhere with amnesia. Sooner or later, someone would call and say, 'We have Sabrina Barr over here in the hospital.'" The family now wants the killer identified. Barr's sister, Shanta Straughter, says that the family pleaded with authorities to view her as a person in danger, not just a missing person. "I couldn't get the detectives to be cooperative with me. The response was, she's an adult, and we'll just have to wait and see," Straughter said. Police now believe that Barr's disappearance may involve people who know her well. Lt.
