SARASOTA -- A man whom police have been trying to arrest since 2001 was featured on "America's Most Wanted" TV show Saturday night.
Garth Malloy, 45, is accused of sexually abusing a child. Sarasota police detectives say he has a history of sexual crimes against children, according to a news release. In 1991, Malloy was charged in Manatee County with having sexual contact with a child under the age of 16. He was sentenced to five years of probation.
In 2001, detectives here issued a warrant for his arrest but have been unable to locate him. He is also wanted by the state Department of Law Enforcement for failing to register as a sex offender.
